End of Year Summary Case Studies 20.12.2017 With 2017 drawing to a close, here at Aspiration Blinds in Bolton, we can look back on the year with a great sense of pride and satisfaction. We’ve continued to grow, worked on some amazing projects and further expanded our range. 2017 has been a great year and we’d like to share with you some of our highlights. We’ve Grown Our Team! This year has seen us take on two talented people to help with our growing number of installations. Firstly, James joined us in January as a full-time fitter. He brings a wealth of knowledge and skill, with several years of experience across the blinds industry. In June, we also had Josh come on board as a part-time fitters mate. Both have settled in really well and are delivering great work for our customers. Goodbye, Trusty Berlingo… As we continue to take on bigger projects, our trusty little ‘Citroën Berlingo’ was just too small for what we needed. Another new addition to the team is our long wheel base, ‘Renault Trafic’ van. Our shiny, new van is already loved by our fitters. Not just because it drives like a dream but also the extra space makes life so much easier, particularly with the larger projects we’ve been tackling. 2017’s Biggest Sellers Shutters have carried on being big sellers in 2017. With shutters being as popular as ever, we have seen the number of completed projects continue to grow. This has also led to the increased popularity of wooden Venetian blinds, especially in on-trend, painted, finishes. Speaking of being on-trend, grey has very much been the colour of choice this year. We have seen great sales for a variety of shades of grey across our blind ranges and collections. The other service that our customers have been benefiting from this year, is our improved range of domestic outdoor living systems. Our sales growth in this area has been huge in 2017, as people look to make use of their outdoor space all year round. Stand-Out Projects Supplying both businesses and domestic customers, we have a very diverse array of projects. Some of our favourites from this year have included the installation of seven, four-metre-high, retractable screens for Bentley’s assembly plant, a Harry Potter themed cassette roller and literally a house full of shutter installations for a home in Ramsbottom. They were all very different, complete with their own challenges, however each piece of work was highly interesting and rewarding. Excitement Growing For 2018! 2018 will see us further enhance our outdoor range with the introduction of more glass, roof and door, products. Next year we’ll also welcome many more innovations to market, including new automated blinds, improved apps to assist with control and solar charged blinds too for extra energy efficiency. We’ll excitedly learn about all of these, along with lots of other new technology and designs, at the ‘International Blinds Exhibition’ in Germany, early next year. So, there you have it. We’ve had quite a year here at Aspiration Blinds and there’s plenty to look forward to for 2018 as well. We’re privileged to work with fantastic customers, suppliers and staff, and we would like to take the opportunity to thank you all for your continued support. From the whole Aspiration Blinds team, we wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and all the best for 2018.
